Hi all,
Using the latest build of the SB Pro, I am getting a report from
someone trying to install a program on Error#: 0002:0000 (see attached
image).
Any suggestions as to what this is?

Barton,
It means that it was not possible to link into the SetupBuilder 5 runtime
kernel (the LoadLibrary Windows API failed). Perhaps it's caused by his
anti-virus or anti-spyware tool. You as software vendor cannot do anything
here.
BTW, what's the size of his setup.exe. This can also happen if he has a
corrupt install and the setup file is < 100 KB.

Friedrich,
The install file appears to be the correct size but it still might
have been a corrupted file since it was downloaded via FTP to his
site.
The other strange part is that he download three of our programs of
which one worked and the other two got this message on two different
computers. The install scripts for all three are nearly identically
except for the actual including program files.
I'm am going to go ahead and have him download a newer version and see
if that helps.

Barton,
What you can do is to let him ZIP his setup.exe file up (e.g. WinZip)
and then compare his CRC-32 and your original setup.exe CRC-32.
The installer initialization is identical for all SB5 installers. This
installer reported an error before any script was executed. So if
the other two installers start fine, then the 3rd installer should also
start (if there was not a file transmission problem).
Please keep me posted.

Friedrich,
Additional information on this error. Talking to the user that is
reporting this problem, it appears to happen on the second time an
install is done. The first install goes find fine but the second
fails. If he reboots the computer and try's the one that failed, it
works ok.
He is good to go, so this is more for informational purposes.

Barton,
Thank you for the information. But IMO, there must be another cause
for this error. Each install creates its own set of temporary files,
so the first install should not effect the second install.
I think it's specific to his machine. I checked all bug reports and
we never received any similar problem description. SetupBuilder 5.x
already compiled setups for at least 800,000 - 1,000,000 installations.
Thanks again for the info.
