View Full Version : Two Weird Installation Errors
Created a project to install some software.
On one customers machine they get the following error:
"Please enter the disk labeled #1, press enter when ready."
If the error is cancelled the following error appears:
" A decompression error has been detected. File:\...........[#8]".
Any help you can provide is appreciated.
Thanks

Ari,
Yes, the customer received an incomplete setup.exe! For example, the setup.exe file size is 12MB, but they received only 9MB.
You can use the "Enable Installer Integrity Check" feature (General Properties -> Advanced Settings) to detect such incomplete downloads before the customer installs the software.
Does this help?

Hi Friedrich,
Is there a way to change the validating text (validating install, 'program.exe')?
i.e. change to: 'validating install, please wait a couple of minutes...'.
Thanks

Ari,
Text and Messages Visualizer -> Progress -> Misc Progress -> PROG_ACTION16
Does this help?
