Saw in your preview for 5.5 (http://www.lindersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1131) that you've added support for third-party redistributables. That is fantastic! Any chance you have support for the DirectX redistributable scheduled? We've recently added some features from the April 2006 DX release and I have to make sure our users have the updated dlls.

Yes, build-in support for DirectX 9.0c redistribution should not be a problem. I'll check this.

Excellent!

If the installer exe is called with the silent install switch, will it pass that setting appropriately on to the redistributables?

Your latest newsgroup post (http://www.lindersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1139) includes a screenshot, in which I can barely make out that the DirectX line says "December 2005". Will it correctly receive the latest update, dated 6/9/2006?

Also, I'm very glad you'll be including this functionality in 5.5. Do you have an estimate on the length of the delay?

Unfortunately, the screenshot seems to be worthless. There is a vBulletin image size restriction :-(

You are right. The screenshot says "December 2005". I can confirm that we have support for the "DirectX Redistributable 9.0c June 2006".

We don't have an exact release date set in stone, but it should be available by the end of June or the beginning of July. Server farm tests for SetupBuilder 5.5 are scheduled for June 26, 2006.
