CAB File Support

Hi Friedrich and Co.

Can you please tell me if SB5 supports the reading of CAB files. I have been provided a CAB file containing OCX's by a 3rd Party
software vendor. He tells me that I should be able to add a CAB file to my project and have the file installed automatically. He
uses Wise and said most Setup programs can handle this. How do I do this in SB5?

Hi Mike,

To be frank, I have never ever seen an installation system that can read CAB
files. I have the latest Wise, InstallShield and two freeware tools here
and they all do not provide this.

What you can do without any problem is to open the CAB in WinZip and
decompress it. Then include the files into your project. You can also send
me the CAB and I'll do it for you.

I discussed a CAB feature with Robert Zaunere in Cambridge, but this will
only be used to support Mobile installations.
