Feature visibility

The SetupBuilder feature dialog has a 'Visible' checkbox. The help describes this checkbox "If you set it to Yes, the feature and its children is displayed." This implies to me that if set to No, the feature will not be displayed. But the Custom Install dialog still lists the feature, no matter the state of this checkbox.

What is the actual purpose of this checkbox?
