Clarion 7 Template Registration Support

SoftVelocity Clarion Third-Party Developers,

We have added experimental support for automatic "Clarion 7" Template
Registration and Unregistration.

The new "Clarion Template Deployment.sb6" example project demonstrates how
to deploy and register a Clarion 6 (or 5) and Clarion 7 template from the
same setup.exe installation.

- c7tpl0.jpg screenshot. This source code is used to set-up the different
folder structures for Clarion 6 and Clarion 7.

- c7tpl1.jpg screenshot. Standard Clarion selection option in the
installer.

- c7tpl2.jpg screenshot. Template is registered in the C7 IDE.

Please note that the Clarion 7 tool (a .NET application) that registers the
template with the C7 IDE takes some time to complete!

The attached screenshot displays the 3rd party "folder structure" in the
"Files and Folders" Visualizer powered by "folder variables".

The method lets you support all versions of Clarion from the same setup.exe.

Hi Friedrich,

The C7 registration is done with the "Register all pending Clarion
Templates" action isn't it? Since I opted for seaparate installs for Pre C7
and C7 I don't think I have to do anything except install the new SB version
and recompile my C7 installs...

Yes, that is correct. During the "File Install" actions, the enabled
"Register as Template in the Clarion Registry" option is queued. At the end
of the installation, the "Register all pending Clarion Templates" function
registers all queued Clarion Template files.

I do this in a separate script that I use for all Clarion installs, where I
stuff some install information into the registry and do housekeeping stuff
including register templates, update RED (not needed for C7!!!) etc. I now
have 3 or 4 installs working that register the templates in both C5.5/C6 and
C7 without any issues:)
