remember my funny sid-by-side configuration problem when testing c7 ?

I reinstalled completely all clarion 6 (btw pls thank again your formating
team they ARE efficient <bg>)

I compile a small dmc exe and I again receive this side-by-side message

Google were are you ?? :)

Manifest is a word I read ....

The exe had
unchecked XP mainfest
checked generate manifest
checked link in prj
checked configure for Vista
selected require admin

and it sent that message

I unchecl all and it works
I check XP manifest and it works also

What must we do please ?

remove the Clarion manifest and use your SB one ?
use the clarion one ? (what exact settings pls)

again lost ... sorry

I check the fisrt two xp and link) it also works

I add again configure Vista as admi and does not work
I select highest available and it does not work
I select asInvoker and it does not work

Hi Jean Pierre,

It seems to me that one of your third-party products in "DMC" has a
dependency to the VC++ 2005 runtime (for whatever reason).

Make sure you have installed vcredist_x86.exe or try to find out which
3rd-party product requires the VC++ 2005 runtime and remove the dependency.

By the way, not sure if you received a VC++ 2005 or VC++ 2008 error message.

You always have to install the 32-bit VC++ redistributable, not the 64-bit!

Here is the latest VC2008 redistributable (supports Server 2008)

Main things with manifests as far as XP-look and Vista in general are:

1. Use asInvoker or requireAdministrator, depending on what a particular
app needs under Vista (XP will ignore this).
2. Embed manifest BEFORE you code-sign something. I do this as part of the
compile process, but many people prefer to have SB do it.
