Product: Developer Edition - Installation Authoring and Configuration
Management System
Version: 6.9.2415
I have 1.01.02.2009 set for both File Version and Product version but the
compiled file properties displays - File Version - 1.1.2.2009 as displayed
in the attached screenshot. Is this a bug?

No, this is not a bug ;-)
The "first" File Version in your screenshot are stored in two DWORDs.
The Product Version in your screenshot (it's also named File Version
in a XP File Properties dialog) is a "string". Only the "first" File
Version is used if Windows handles file replacement version verification.
So "1.01.02.2009" (incorrect version format, btw) is 1.1.2.2009 stored
in DWORDs, but "1.01.02.2009" in string format (not used by the Windows
OS).
Does this help?

Friedrich,
OK, yes, I see know - WHY - the reason for the format - this particular
install is an install for data files only, but in the world of "Versions"
and standards and OSs,
I was using the Version to indicate a certain date format (.01) - AND SB -
auto created a format for me - that works as it should in the Version
format.
Thanks for the tip!
