All,

We are working on enhancements in SB6 and SB7 for Windows 7 and Windows
Server 2008 R2.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 will be the next version of the Windows
Server operating system from Microsoft. It will only be available as 64-bit
version. Both Windows 7 (client) and Server 2008 R2 (aka Windows Server 7)
share the same kernel.

The current SetupBuilder 6.9 and SetupBuilder 7.0 (beta) detect Server 2008
R2 as "Windows 7". This will change in the next SB6 and SB7 maintenance
builds.

During the last few months, we have already tested SetupBuilder on all
available Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 pre-releases. In June 2008, we added
first experimental built-in Windows 7 support into SB6 and SB7. The
SetupBuilder 6.9 and 7.0 (beta) IDE and installers created with SetupBuilder
work fine on Win7 and Server 7. We'll provide built-in support for both new
Windows OS soon.
