Product Version

Hi Friedrich

I was under the impression that the Product Version in "Project Definition/Web Deployment/Product Version" was the one used by
'wupdate.exe' to update the registry. However I have found the the "Product Version" in "Project Definition/General Information/Product/[PRODUCTVER]" is the one actualy used.

Please direct me to the correct usage for Web Deployment, and explain the difference between two definitions.

Hi Mike,

Yes, that's correct. This was a bug in all previous SB5 versions (see
Urgent: WebUpdate Problem topic).

In the upcoming SetupBuilder 6, the "Product Version" value of the "Enable
Web Update" is not available any longer.

And in this case, it was completely my fault. "Product Version" handling
was a bug in all previous versions and the description in the current 5.x
documentation is still incorrect.

Works correct in SetupBuilder 6 (and documentation is up-to-date now).
