View Full Version : Compiler FTP Upload error (Error code #6)

Anyone know the cause of this error?

I resorted to using CuteFTP which ran just fine, so it cannot be lack of
space or userid/password issues.

I do see a difference with CuteFTP - the FTP folder specification.
How does one specify to which folder to upload using SB?

For example: ftp.lindersoft.com/mydir

Sorry, I do not understand. What does have OUR ftp.lindersoft.com server to
do with YOUR ftp folder structure?????

Let us assume, your FTP address is ftp.simsherer.com and you have a
"mysubfolder" sub folder on this FTP server. Then "Host Address" (in your
case) would be:

ftp.simsherer.com/mysubfolder

Hope this helps.

BTW, I think you would like to upload files so files can be downloaded from
a HTTP server. On most web servers, you have to upload to
ftp.yourserver.com/public_html/mysubfolder if you have a mysubfolder under
your web root.

Should read: "What does OUR ftp.lindersoft.com server have to do with YOUR
ftp folder structure?"

Sorry, Friedrich. I thought you meant I would find an example on your FTP
site.

I still get this Error #6.

What is the problem?

WinINet returns a GetLastError #6 -- The Handle is invalid.

I assume your FTP parameters are incorrect.
