I have a web update that has 90 files.
Just switched to a IIS server.
Set switch Project Definition -> Web Deployment -> Enable Web Intallation ->
IIS Server Image to Yes.
Added HTTP Header -> MIM type for folder where update on server resides of
..* and Octet/Stream
MANY user reporting file not found and communication error 5060.
HELP! Have 4,000 user updating.

Thanks Friedrich.
Neither helps.
There are no "INI" files on the server.
And when checking your " IIS" option the files are generated without file
extensions.
When you say " stop and restart IIS " do I do this from the services panel ?

It's definitely a MIME problem (if your other configuration settings are
correct). And if this is a web update, there must be a server manifest
file. You define this (for web updates) in the "Server Manifest File"
field.
Try to download one of the files (e.g. the manifest file and the first
cluster file) from your server through Internet Explorer. What error do you
see?

No, this is the Web Update error code. What Internet Explorer error !!!! do
you get? Try to download that file via Internet Explorer and this will also
fail! I am sure it's IIS HTTP error 404 or something like that.
It has nothing to do with SetupBuilder at all. Your IIS server is not
configured correctly. If you are not the admin then contact the admin
because he knows what he has to do here.
Does this help?

I know I already posted the following link, but I'll do it again. Richard
explained the IIS configuration very well.
