after running the webupdate i get the error: ERR_INTERNET_FILEMATCH

Any idea what i have done wrong? It´s both the same file.

Yes, SetupBuilder protects your customers here. The file on the server is
*not* the file that is on your development machine. You forgot to upload
the updated files after the project re-compile.

Hello Friedrich,

hm, i tried it 2 hours long an recompile and uploaded the file more than 10 times.

But i have done some changes in the scripts because the update script needs
some regitry stuff to check.

Because my app will most run from an usb stick i have to change some paths to
%curdir% because the script have no chance to look for the install dir.

How does SB check this? So i can have a look what i can have wrong. I send you
my scripts to your email adress. perhaps you can see what´s wrong (if your have
time for this).

Kai,

Unfortunately, there is nothing I could check from here, because it's not a
script logic problem.

It's a very simple process. The SetupBuilder installer checks the "Cyclic
Redundancy Check" value (CRC32) of the file on your server against the
original file that you had on your machine when you compiled the setup.
This CRC32 is different and so SetupBuilder protects your customers from
receiving the wrong file (and aborts with error ERR_INTERNET_FILEMATCH).
The files on your server and the files on your machine are "out-of-sync".

BTW, it's also possible that it is caused by a transmission (upload)
problem.

Hello Friedrich,

there must be a problem in my script what i don´t find.

When i run my wupdate it downloads my update an i have a file SB5CF6.tmp on my
system. When i open the file i see that it´s the file coolapp.exe...

Any idea why the script will not use my new file? My uploaded file
WebUpdate.00001 contains my targeta.exe file. That´s right.

argh, found that problem... my ta-webupdate from the webupdate assistant use
your server config...

Now it should be work.

Hello Kai,

You upload your files to your www.exergy.de server, but try to download
(during the web install) from OUR www.lindersoft.com server ;-)

That's why you receive the ERR_INTERNET_FILEMATCH error <g>

Change the "Web Update" configuration settings in your "TA-WebUpdate
2.13.001.sb6" project and you are done.
