As reported earlier I have one machine in my office that will not run my
installation reporting a decompression error. This morning I received an
email from a client reporting. It has to be machine specific.
A decompression error has been detected.
File: C:\locator6\icc6.exe (#6)

Hi Don,
Yes, this is machine specific and is not caused by a SB5/SB6 bug.
"Something" locks write access to the file on that machine(s) during the
decompression process. The WriteFile Windows API reports an error and the
LSPack 5 decompression engine terminates the installation process.

Hi Don,
I've gotten this message a number of times. If using dial up it may be due
to a time out or a disconnect thus preventing a clean download. When I tell
customers to try again. Another thing too is I have customer who does has
high speed, and when they try to run the install through their AOL account
they get the decompression message. But if they click the IE icon on their
desktop and type the download address in manually they are able to download
and install perfectly.
Can't tell you much more than that except this is what I've found and the
solutions work each time.
