Hi Friedrich,
I install clarion template files with *.*. Even if I set it to register
Clarion templates and the install runs Clarion to register them, the
templates are not registered (Clarion 6.3 build 9058)
Any ideas?
Best regards,

Well it works in C7 on that same Virtual Machine, so for right now I'm
writing this off as a DDE issue on this particular VM (been there!<g>)

I have attached a simple C6 demo (includes 3 Clarion "dummy" templates with
*.tpl). It registers the template in C6 without any problem (see attached
screenshot). I have also tested this in a VMWare XP session.

I have no doubt it works since it works in C7. I have found that sometimes
DDE simply doesn't work on XP and Vista. Since DDE is the only way I know
of to register templates in the old IDE I presume SB is using it too.

Yes, SB is using DDE to register templates in pre-C7 editions.

Hi Friedrich,

I have a few customers who are using the Build Automator where XP or Vista
seem to completely ignore DDE. I don't know what causes it. Looks to me
that I may have stumbled on exactly the setup where it just dies;) I am SO
glad we can use MS-Build in the new IDE!!!:)
