Perhaps you are calling an uninstall.exe that was build from a "pre-2560"
version? You can send me the uninstall.exe and I can verify the build
version.

This was a fresh compile in 2560, a fresh install (where the install
folder is created fresh), followed by an uninstall. Both the install
and uninstall work perfectly, but the Clarion 7 generator issues two
messages for each uninstalled template.

I have sent you the uninstaller exe.

As far as I can see, the new #2560 worked-around this issue for all the
other 3rd parties who contacted me. If this still happens in your #2560,
then I fear I can't do anything :-(

BTW, I have done (at least) 90 test installs/uninstalls during the last two
days with #2560 and C7 and I did not see that Generator message box. Very
strange. Can you send a simple demo .tpl and .sb6 project?

Possibly a Win7-64 thing? (WOW) Or maybe, because my installer
includes an uninstaller sbi?

I will try to make a more simplified installer that fails on the
uninstall, and send it to you.

Friedrich, after some edits of my custom uninstall sbi, the problem
disappeared. I have no idea which edits cleared the problem. I can't
resurrect the previous sbi, so can't send it.

Anyway, the good news is, no more error messages!

I finally determined the source of the registry error messages. My
uninstall sbi deletes a redirection include file. The script was
deleting this before the "Process Uninstall Queue" statement. The
missing include subsequently caused the registry to complain each time
it was opened to unregister a template during the uninstall log processing.

The problem suddenly went away when one of my edits introduced an error
that caused the delete to be skipped. The problem came back when I
noticed the redirection file wasn't deleted, and fixed the script again.

I have now solved it permanently by moving the delete to come after
"Process Uninstall Queue". (Where it should have been to begin with)

It would be nice in the future if there was SB support for
adding/editing entries in a few of the Clarion 7 XML files. These have
well-defined tags.

(a) The class reader list (paths to class files)
(b) The redirection macro list (macro key and path value)
(c) ??

Actually, it might be better to have generic xml editing support.
(similar to registry support, if you think about it. A structured file
using tags to access information.)

Editing XML using the generic txt file operations is possible, but not
very friendly.

Or for example adding in xml pref files the settings for a demo app installed as now all is there....
debug - release etc ....
