Where to place wucheck.exe at startup

Hello Friedrich,

one problem with one of my clients:

i check for new update with wucheck.exe. I do that in openwindow embed in main window.

My client use VPN connections. because that the app starts very slow when
checking for updates.

What embed i can use for the check if i need to have the check in background
and the app don´t wait for the updatecheck?

I would start a new thread. That way the app will keep loading and the
thread that checks for the update will get going as well. If there is an
update, I would then run the wupdate.exe and shut the app down:)
