If a customer has installed my app with the latest SB6 does he need to
re-install if he upgrades that machine to Windows 7?
Just wondering.

Lynn,
Of course, Lindersoft will need to give you the official answer...
I'd say - generally speaking, the latest SB6.9 - Build 2587 creates Windows
7 compatible installs, and a re-install would not be required.
Howver, to give your customers a better advantage for Windows 7 is to use a
Windows 7 manifest on your program EXEs.
If you have a Web Update in place for updating your program files without a
full re-install - then just Windows 7 manifest your program EXE and make it
available.
My company uses SetupBuilder to UAC manifest, Armadillo batch file protect,
and code sign - SB6.9 - Build 2587 does not offer Windows 7 manifest - but
SB 7.0.2639 does.
Here's a tip on the lastet SetupBuilder and Windows 7 manifest - when you
open a previous SB file (such as an .SB6) in SB7, it will need to do a
script format conversion so it can be used by SB7 - then, that file can't
be opened in previous SB.
Now, the tip - if you used SetupBuilder to Vista manifest previously (using
the Script Editor) - it WILL default to None! So, using the Script Editor
and UAC manifest dialog - Compatiblity Information - Choose Windows 7 as
shown in attached screen shot.
