All,
SetupBuilder 7 (RC) Developer Edition has been extensively tested on Windows
7 (RTM) and works without any glitches.
IT Professionals with TechNet Subscriptions will be able to download the new
Windows 7 (RTM) in English on August 6th, 2009. We expect to make
SetupBuilder 7 (Gold) available the same day. This will give you enough
time to prepare your Windows 7 compatible applications and installations
before Windows 7 becomes available to the mass-market of consumers.

Friedrich,
Congratulations on this historic Pre Announcement on your company's release
plans! Some of us have already switched full time to:
Product: Developer Edition - Installation Authoring and Configuration
Management System
Version: 7.0.2639
And finding it, just as rock solid as Windows 7 Release Candidate appears
to be as well.
Barring any "Microsoft surprises" with RTM, the SB7 7.0.2639 installs we
create now - should be RTM ready, yes?

Yes, I think so. We'll run more tests over the next few days with our
internal SB7 (Gold) version on Win7 RTM. We have fixed some minor things
since the release of 7.0 (RC) Build 2639. When SB7 goes Gold on August 6th,
2009, it will be a good idea to recompile all projects in order to use the
latest installer runtime.
