Hi,
Trying to setup Web Deploy. I *think* I have it setup correctly.
When I run the install, it starts to work (gets to the install files
display), then I get a dialog box with no title and "#1" in the text and
only an OK button. What did I do???
Version: 6.9.2587
Web Update: 6.9.2587.0

Oh, forgot to say: The script is (I think) downloading the first file
(which the progress bar is at 100%) and then locks one processor to 100%.

This #1 thing is a fatal decompression error (not really, because there is
nothing to decompress). The downloaded cluster file does not have any valid
LSPack archive signature and so the decompression library was unable to
retrieve any archive information (file size, file date/time, compression
type, etc.). In other words, the downloaded file is not a valid cluster
file.
This is caused by 1) a upload transmission error -or- 2) a download
transmission error.

Friedrich,
Hum... Well, I can point the install to my little server here and
it works. Though, I can't really tell because it's local. When I point
it to my server (on Lunar Pages: An apache box), it fails consistently.
I've tried setting the file attributes on the server to 755 and that
didn't help. I can only imagine that the server is not responding as
expected. I am able, via FTP, to verify that the uploaded files are, in
fact, not corrupted. I can see the directory with Fire Fox via HTTP
(http://pinrod.com/bikeclub). When I have some time next week, maybe
I'll send you what you might need to help me know what's wrong. I
suspect it may be something with the way Lunar Pages serves the files...
I don't know... {'-(

Friedrich's response said that one of the files is corrupt. (I get the same
error you describe, so it's not a download error unique to you). You say
the files work from your local server.
Did you try uploading all the files again? How are you determining that
they're not corrupted?

Jane,
I used Total Commander and did "File compare" (FTP). I also just
used Fire Fox to download the files (HTTP) and verified they are the
same. Kind of strange. Jane: I think I have those test files on my
little server. I'll send you a private link... Just to see if it works
properly from there (eliminates one possibility).

Hi Kurt,
See attached screenshot. This is what your server returns to the request of
the iDeploy module. Instead of the file, it sends this message.

Hi Kurt,
If you change "Host Address" to laffan.lunarpages.com and "Host Directory"
to ~pinrod2/bikeclub then it seems to work.
Your server requires a browser that supports "frames" to download from
http://pinrod.com
That's why your server reports:
Please visit http://laffan.lunarpages.com/~pinrod2/bikeclub/BikeClub.00001
since your browser does not support frames.
