Hi Folks, if you have MSDN, Win7 RTM is available now!
As promised, SetupBuilder 7 for Windows 7 RTM (and Windows Server 2008 R2
RTM) is ready to download. This will give you enough time to prepare your
Windows 7 compatible applications and installations before Windows 7 becomes
available to the mass-market of consumers.

Nope :-(
My download mgr is bouncing around about 50KB/sec.
I've got it running on a machine in my bedroom downloading the x64 iso.
I'll check it again tonight...LOL...
I started a second download on my work laptop (the x86 iso) and it's running
about the same speed. So "divide and conquer" has its benefits <g>

Jane,
Tried to respond earlier - but we had one of those famous Florida afternoon
"Quick but Potent Storms" blow through.
I actually was using a single computer with Vista 32 Host and VM Windows 7
RC x64 to download - x86 iso in one, and x64 iso in the other.
After I restarted my computer - went to "resume" - Vista 32 Host File
Transfer Manager session didn't resume - but VM Windows 7 RC x64 File
Manager session did!
Someone in one of the public newsgroups mentioned there was a legitimate
alternative MS download location, but I can't find it (and the responder
didn't give details).

Don,
Near Lakeland - my father lived in Sebring til he died while in stroke
rehab about 5 years ago.
When traveling down US 27 to Sebring, I remember the "frequency and
severity of the storms" along US 27 - however, seeing Lake Jackson after
arriving there was always a welcome sight.

Yeah, we live on the east side of 27, right across from Lake Jackson.
Pretty quite here, that part I like.

Jeff,
I just posted:
Windows 7 RTM - MSDN and TechNet Subscribers with slow download rates -
Solution.
Using a single computer - I have the x86 iso downloading in my Windows Host
and x64 iso downloading in my VM Windows 7 RC x64 and expect both to
download in under 2 hours.

David,
Thanks to your post - I tried the "Top Downloads" link from the MSDN
subscriber page, and I've already downloaded, burned the DVD for Ultimate
64. Now I've got 27% of the EE ver downloaded. Before that - I was at a
crawl.
Using Comcast cable connection, Motorola modem, Netgrear Wireless-N Router.

Don,
Thanks for posting - I guess the rest that are using that tip are like your
friends at a good home based "barbie" - you'd like them to comment how good
your ribs are - but their mouths are full from enjoying it! :-D
So, everyone is busy INSTALLING the RTM, instead of complaining how slow
the download is, and how they'll try it next week when the servers aren't
so busy!

Unfortunatey, only the 32-bit RTM is available at this time. I'm
hoping the 64-bit is available soon, as I would like to build my new
machine with the RTM version, rather than the RC.

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. My win7 64 box has been running
the RTM version for several days. I downloaded it from MSDN like the other
zillion people:)

The 32/64 option was disabled. I've got a MAPS, rather than MSDN, so
that might explain it. I wasn't sure, though, so I called Microsoft
directly, and was told it wasn't available yet. Apparently I was the
second person to ask her that this morning. <g>
So either she's wrong, or MAPS doesn't get the same thing as MSDN
subscribers.

Not sure what MAPS is, but I do know that some types of Microsoft partners
dont get it for another week or so. That must be it.

MAPS is "Microsoft Action Pack Subscription". I just checked again,
and now I can't see the 32-bit version. Perhaps they're holding it
back from MAPS due to the slow downloads reported here and elsewhere.

Mike,
It's actually a matter of timing for MS Partners for various subscription
programs.
See my post to Mark for Blog URL about MAPS - Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc -
stated August 23rd for MAPS.

Mike,
Not sure why x64 iso does not display for you - as Mark indicated - both
were available on August 6 2009. I installed both that day.
