View Full Version : ftp upload to two sites

Hi Friedrich
I sometimes want to upload an install to two different sites.
1: Set the ftp parameters for site1
2: Build the project, and answer Yes to thje Upload now. OK.
3: edit and save the ftp details in the project to point to site2
4: use the menus... Build/Distribute to FTP Server
and the ftp goes again to site1, and not to site2.
Is it right that I have to do a full build again to have the upload go to the site2?
Thanks
John Griffiths

Hi John,
I would suggest to use "#ftp upload" in your script (check the "Process
after script compilation" option).
This allows you to upload the resulting install to two or more FTP sites.
Does this help?

Is there anything this system will not do?
Thanks

Friedrich,
Just a small request concerning FTP when/if you have the time.
Could you display the url of the ftp site on any messages regarding ftp..
"Do you want to ftp to www.somewhere.com"
and "FTP to www.somewhere.com successful" in the log.
This would help me not to forget to change the ftp site from our test system
to the production system.
Thanks

Skip,
Good idea. I'll add this to the next build.
Thank you for your suggestion!

I have a lot of trouble getting it to shovel snow from the driveway, take
out the trash and do laundry.
Otherwise, probably not:)

Gday Mark,
Snow! What is that? Going to be 37C (100F) here today, and 40C (104F) tomorrow. But a
lovely beach is just a 200 yard stroll away.
The other day I seem to recall thinking...
SB6, bring me a cold beer.
and it did!
or perhaps it was Candace who actually brought it to me. ;-)
Today I am going to see if it will add another task to my Installer, but will check
all the help and examples before asking here.

40F here today, which is warm for us this time of year. Everything is
turning to slush.
