All,

Lindersoft is approved now. Our customers will be able to purchase code
signing certificates for as little as $66 per year (on a three year
term). You can use the same certificate to sign your applications,
installations and your PAD files.

We'll offer Code Signing Digital IDs for $79 (1-year), $143 (2-years), and
$200 (3-years).

It's a very attractive offer. Do the math: a Verisign Code Signing Digital
ID costs $499 for 1 year, $894 for 2 years and $1,293 for 3 years. A Thawte
Code Signing Digital ID costs $199 for 1 year and $399 for 2 years.

Our Code Signing Digital ID account will be activated within the next 24
hours. We'll make more information and the order link available ASAP.

Hi Friedrich

I am a little lost on these things. What is the difference between
certificates and digital ID's. Do we need one for each type of program we
sell or just one for our company. Also, are these simply installed with
the installer or do we need some programming to interface with certificates
or ID's.

Thanks for providing this capability.

Hi Gary,

Sorry for the confusion. Different names, but same thing <g>. Code-signing
certificates and code-signing digital IDs are the same.

You only need one certificate for your company! SetupBuilder 6 can
automatically code-sign your application files (.exe, .dll, etc.) and your
installer.

Excellent news, Friedrich!
Thank you for your efforts!

Will you also be able to process renewals of existing Commodo-issued
certificates, or should we wait until those expire?

Jane

Jane,

:)

I think we can also offer renewals (I have to wade through the documentation
to check this <g>), so you don't have to go through the verification process
again. But the price for new and renewed certificates are the same.

IMO, it's wise to wait until the certificate expires.

All,

I still have to familiarize myself with the new order system interface for
certificates.

We are now an official Comodo Code Signing Certificate and SSL Certificate
Partner. We can provide Code Signing Certificates, SSL Certificates,
PlatinumSSL SGC Wildcard Certificate, TrustLogo, Card Payment TrustLogo,
etc., etc. And all this is available at a discounted price to qualified
Lindersoft customers.

We'll make the updated web site and order system available tomorrow.

Scott & Andy,
Please explain. We're a whole bunch of ignorant foreigners around here <g>

They are bible references:

Matthew 16:4 (New International Version)
A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none
will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went
away.

Revelation 13:17 (New International Version)
so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name
of the beast or the number of his name.

Paul

Was a weak attempt at humor...
Mt 16:4 references seeking a "sign" and, thanks to Vista, we're all looking
to "sign" our apps...
Rev 13:17 references the inability to buy or sell without the "mark",
implying MS & Vista are the beast

....sorry, should have gone to chat, hopefully I won't get blasted by the
discussion police <g>

Hi Scott,
I guess I should have figured it out, but you know ... (and don't you hate
it when you have to explain your jokes <g>).

Thanks,

Friedrich:
Do you support timestamping of the code signing certificate so that the code
sign doesnt expire?
Jim Kane

Jim,

Yes, no problem. We can use this time stamping server:

Hi Robert,

The Comodo admin still has to change a minor issue in the order system.
Should be done within the next few hours.

Unfortunately <g> the money goes directly to Comodo. In order to make this
offer possible, we do not make a profit on it. It's a special service for
our customers.

Comodo, Inc. handles the ordering systems, but we have to approve each
Comodo certificate request (it's a manual process).
