We have updated the Visual C++ 2005 (SP1) Runtime Libraries Redistributable
to build 8.0.50727.4053 (security update).

To install the new redistributable, select Help | Redistributable Manager...

Step back and take a deep breath<g>: What exactly does this mean? Does
this affect SB or does it affect our installs?

It has nothing to do with SB. And it only affects your installs if your own
application (or one of the used 3rd party products) makes use of the VC2005
runtimes! If this is the case, then you should update your current
redistributable with this new one because it is a security update.

But if your application does not make use of the VC2005 libraries, do
nothing <g>.

Quite a few products and/or developer toolkits need the runtime components
of the Visual C++ 2005 Libraries to run on a computer that does not have
Visual C++ 2005 installed. The VC200x Core PreRequisites are the most
downloaded redistributables from the SetupBuilder Redistributable Manager
(3,000+ downloads in Q2 2009).
