Eric,
Depends on your OS version. For "NT" based systems, it comes from:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization value names.
Does this help?

WARNING: If you think it would be a good idea to change this value,
DON'T DO IT. You won't be able to boot your machine.
I figured "COOL! I can change that value to match what my company name
really is". It was set by my computer mfg to something else.
How about "NOT COOL!"<g>
Perhaps it's possible to change it, but other stuff unbeknownst to be
has to happen too.

Jeff,
I absolutely agree. This should *not* be modified in any way.
I just wanted to let Eric know where the installer information comes from.
Never ever change these registry settings.
