Hello,
I bought a Comodo certificate a couple of weeks ago and I'm trying to setup SB7 to use it. The file I have is a pfx file and SB is asking me to provide spc and pvk files. Did I get the wrong thing?
Thanks,
Abe

You can use the PFX without any problem in SB7. See documentation for
"General Information Properties" -> "Digital Signature" and/or read Jane's
excellent "Learning SetupBuilder Part I -- Everything you ever wanted to
know about SetupBuilder but were afraid to ask" introductory materials (part
of the Examples Package).

Abe,
Well, there are more expert users that will probably post soon...
Basically - SignCode.exe (installed during SB7 install) works with spc and
pvk files.
However, signtool.exe works with pfx (but cannot be distributed with
installs so you have to locate and download signtool.exe yourself)
You CAN follow these instructions and convert your pfx to spc and pvk

OR
Use the instructions I include in a blog chm to easily download
signtool.exe

Abe,
You're welcome.
Just curious - are you saying, you have signtool.exe on your computer, but
still get the error?

Hi David,
Friedrick said I should be able to sing the code with the file I have, so I
didn't do anything but fill in the blanks in the wi9ndow. Now I get the
file not found error but it doesn't tell m which file it cannot find. Is it
the certificate, the uninstall file or the signtool?
Regards,
Abe

See attached screenshot (from the manual).
I assume you are still using SignCode.exe (for .spc and .pvk). Switch to
SignTool.exe (for .pfx) and you should be done.
Does this help?

Abe,
Microsoft doesn't allow distribution of signtool.exe to be included in a
third party install so YOU HAVE to download signtool.exe from their SDK
download location.
That is why I took the time to document it (how/where to download
signtool.exe) in the UAC Safe CHM I have already mentioned.
