We have released a first version of a test tool to check the C7.0 and C7.1
installation environment status. This freeware tool can be used to verify
the installed Clarion 7.x version(s). If your auto-detection of Clarion 7.x
fails, you can use this little tool to find out what the user has (or has
not) installed.

environment status. This FREEWARE tool can be used to verify the installed
Clarion 7.x version(s). If your Clarion 7.x auto-detection fails, you can
use this application to find out what might cause it.

The above is a code-signed application developed with SetupBuilder 7.1. The
old "version 1" downloads are not available any longer.

Clarion environment auto-detection in C70/C71-aware installations does not
work if you have installed Clarion 7.1 (6695) Professional Edition. You can
use this tool to "fix" it.

1. Launch c7utility_201.exe
2. Press "Scan for Clarion 7" button
3. It displays a warning if a corrupt C71 PE product identification was
detected.
4. Press Next and select "Product Identifier Fix for Clarion 7.1 PE 6695"
5. Press Next and then "Apply Fix"

That's it.

To uninstall the "fix" (e.g. before you install a new C71 PE in the future),
go to "Add/Remove Program" and uninstall the Product Identifier Fix.
