I'm testing SB7 in eval mode
Updating my app on Vista machines is always an adventure -
I'm testing iDeploy - does anyone have a Clarion code snippet that's tested
with Vista?
Thanks;

Ed,
A snippet really won't do you much good.
You need to be sure your app only writes to appropriate areas of the disk
and registry, and that it has a manifest and is code-signed.
SetupBuilder can help with the last two items, but your design needs to be
aware of the where-you-can-write stuff.
I'd suggest you download the example files from
http://www.setupbuilder.com/downloads_licensed.htm
(You don't need to be licensed for that).
The help file that includes has some topics on code-signing and manifests
and some explanation of the challenges of Vista (and Windows 7).
A couple of peoples' blogs also speak to these issues:

Jane,
Thanks for the mention.
Ed,
Also, Friedrich Linder also posted this excellent summary list as well.

Also, a suggestion:
IF you are using Clarion 6, 7 ABC - you might consider this Clarion Third
Party product to: "your app only writes to appropriate areas of the disk
and registry" as Jane pointed out.
Product Description - ProPath, MFG - LANSRAD
