Hi at all,
does someone know, how I can check whether a folder has write
permissions for the user "local system".

Safest might be to set permissions yourself for the Local System account SID
(S-1-5-18)

But how can I activate inheritance in the "Set Access Control..." statement?

I just played a few minutes, Markus.
SYSTEM seems to have full control for everything anyway, so I don't see
results from adding it explicitly.
However, with other user accounts, Windows' default seems to be that folders
inherit permissions.
So you could just set permissions for the parent folder you create. Or you
could set each folder explicitly.
Create a user account named Jane. Test the attached script.
