Next round: Comodo flags now...

It seems to me, quite a few virus protection vendors make use of the same
"unreliable" virus detection technology <g>. And perhaps the very same
software developers are working on all these different products? Different
product names but in fact the same product? Conspiracy theory? How knows.

The good news is, McAfee fixed the false-positive bug in their system. Very
fast, good job! F-Secure stated that they will fix their DeepGuard bug next
week. Well, 28 days to fix such a major issue? I am not impressed at all.

Now comes Comodo and flags both code-signed and unsigned SB7 apps. We have
already reported this but to put some pressure on them and to be on the safe
side, send a SB7 install to:

I think this Comodo bug only affects some (not all) applications compiled
with SB7 prior build #3062. All apps recompiled with #3062 and the #3070 /
#3074 pre-releases are not flagged.

Both wupdate.exe and wucheck.exe clients are compiled with SB7 build #3015.
But Comodo only flags wupdate.exe. This does not make any sense.

I hope Comodo will fix it soon. It is starting to get on my nerves now and
slows down our Support...

Conspiracy? I thought that all anti virus outfits had fully functional
virus production laboratories whose sole function it was to produce viruses
and deploy them <vbg>
