There are some important modifications in the SB7 runtime to power C7 and C8
installs.

Clarion 8 is a new version and requires a new unique Product GUID.

FAQ: "Is there a new Clarion 8 deployment demo?"

Yes, we have updated the "Clarion Accessory Deployment Demo" to show how to
deploy to C6, C7 and C8 from the same setup.exe.

It also demonstrates how to avoid the template registration "deadlock
situation" in C7 and C8. The new SB74 runtime can (optionally) detect an
"unregistered" Clarion environment now.

Serial was there but I had not opened template registry after copy
pasting from c7 as RZ asked us to do
I had copied the registry TRF as well as the accessory folder so as not
to have to register anything

Works fine here even if no template is registered. I have tested this on
four different machines. Installed C8, started the IDE to "validate" it and
did not open the registry (no template was registered) and it installed all
fine. No deadlock at all.

I think it's not caused by the template registry (or an open IDE) in your
case.

You have to open the Clarion 8 IDE, enter the serial number and validate it
and then close the IDE to register Clarion. SetupBuilder 7.4 can detect
this scenario, so I have modified the text in the example project.
