View Full Version : Adding duplicate libraries

Friedrich,
To work around the static scan issue, I copied and then pasted all the files I
still need that are not in my distribution folder (where C8 copies after a build)
to another section then commented these lines.
As I add these non-copied, yet still required files, I'm getting a duplicate
message despite those files don't really existing in the files and folders
visualizer. I suspect they still see the old files (commented, but not yet saved
to disk).
No big deal, I know how to easily work around this. But it's the worst I can find
in an excellent product and since you are about to release a new version... ;-)

Russ,
I have found that the easiest way to deal with files is to have a source
folder where they are copied to, then in the Visualizer just set a wildcard
copy of that folder (instead of adding individual files).
That way as the list grows, shrinks or changes SB does everything
automatically.

Except for files that are not copied, like the FM3 libraries.

I use Build Automator to copy all the files needed for distribution into a
folder that is monitored by SetupBuilder with a wildcard.
Build Automator takes care of all the drudgery, never misses a file and
then it runs the SetupBuilder script to create the installer.
Easy as pie and a great mix of two fantastic products!

BTW - you can tell SetupBuilder to exclude certain files, even with a
wildcard...
