I'm building my install with SetupBuilder and had no problem till
today. The lastest 2012 version of Norton Internet Security blocks the
download as being untrusted - not a virus - just "we dont knw enough
about ths"

I'm cringing that my BETA testers are gogin t get this
There is a form that can be filled out to ask Norton to check ths
install - but I have not done that yet

Hi Bob
More Symantec madness.
What happens if you zip it and then open the zip locally - still the
same thing?

I tried renaming the install exe to install.zzz and emailing instead
of downloading - same result
What I can do is tell NAV that that the direcotyr where I download is
"safe" and to not check - but that souonds to be too open to real
viruses

You should report this false-positive to Symantec.
BTW, SetupBuilder is "white-list" registered with Symantec since 9/8/2010:
---
We are writing in relation to your application through Symantec's on-line
Software White-listing Request form for your SetupBuilder Software version
7. Symantec has decided to add this software to its white-list. The
white-list is used in internal quality assurance processes and also by the
cloud for some products. This inclusion should reduce the possibility of
false positive detections by Symantec products, but Symantec cannot
guarantee that false positives will not occur.

No, don't do this! You should definitely report it to Symantec so they can
fix the bug in the next virus definition update.

Its not good they cant identify software properly. I've lost count how many
PC's running McAfee and Nortons running dodgy software running which I have
had to remove.

I have not got around to contacting Norton - but I just tried to
download again, and this time it lets me, but does give a lot of
warnings - re its a newly created file and less than 5 people with
Norton have used it.
I suspect that it learns from usage - and some of my BETA testers
(with Norton installed) have downloaded and run it and it has not
found a virus.
