Yes, it is possible to obtain a certificate for a person. Please refer to

Acceptable corporate documentation
1) Articles of Incorporation (with address)
2) Business License (with address)

If you do not have access to the above documentation, we would ask that you
supply:

1) Trading License (with address)
2) Copy of utilities bill/bank statement/check containing your company name
and address
3) DUNs Number

If you do not have access to ANY of the above documentation, we [Comodo]
would ask that you supply documentation of your trading name and address and
whom you are - this could be a combination of your ****driving license or
passport and a bank statement**** addressed to you as your
fictitious/trading name, or similar combinations.

Maybe it is just me, but it seems that there is a lot of confidential
information requested from Comodo - who are they, where located and what
protection do they offer for this information.

Hi Don,

Well to turn that around a bit<g>, they are a duly authorized and
accredited and certified issuer of the "Keys to the Internet".

Their job is to make sure that you are who you say you are (at least to a
very reasonable degree of verification), which is why all the data is
requested and checked out.

After all - they are the ones who are sticking their company neck out so
that the can tell the world:

"Hey Don's Ok!"


(but aside from that muse - I am always hesitant and overly cautious about
giving out loads of data too).
