Hi,
I am new to SetupBuilder (my boss switched from InstallShield to SetupBuilder). As I understand it, the next version supports a scripting language. Is this an "external" scripting solution?

Welcome on board!
SetupScript is a built-in feature (not an external tool). It's a full-blown installation programming language which allows you to do virtually anything. The beauty of SetupBuilder 5 is that you don't have to learn a new scripting language. SB5 requires no scripting knowledge or programming skills!
The SB5 IDE provides a GUI that generates the script and a Script Editor (it's bi-directional). You can switch between the GUI and the script as you like. The Script Editor lists language statements on the right and the BASIC-like script on the left. You double-click on a statement to add it to the script, then a dialog accepts the relevant information.
