COMODO + Domains by Proxy is a wicked combination!

Trying to get my code sign certificate renewed and Domains by Proxy is
giving me a serious headache!

Domains by Proxy issued their letter of authentication but with the
business phone number that was over a year old. I had gone to their
website earlier in the month and updated all the specifics. I'm now
waiting on COMODO to accept my home phone number instead.

If I'm still writing software in 3 years I might force myself to
retire... PRAY FOR ME, PLEASE!<g>

and certificate verification!

They replied that my home phone will be accepted after I sent them
page one from my latest bill. Same name and address and they found it
listed in the White Pages online. Waiting for the call now.

Damn sure wish these were renewable instead of always from scratch!<g>

What should have been a short call wasn't because I couldn't
understand what the person on the other end was saying. English was
not his native language, of that I'm positive!<g>

Now all I need to do is figure out why SB crashes every time it tries
to code sign using my PFX file. Never had a problem using an SPC and
PVK file. I hate change!<g>

Oops! Forgot to switch to the SignTool.exe utility under options.

When WILL I learn that Friedrich DOES have the bases covered?!<g>

Figures!<g> But, if you're listening Friedrich<g>, here's a thought
for SB8.

Have an entry for BOTH SignCode and SignTool and on the Certificate
Profiles dialog...

Add option to choose if both are listed when SPC, PVK & PFX are used.
Automatically choose SignCode when SPC and PVK are used w/o PFX.
Automatically choose SignTool when PFX is used w/o SPC and PVK.

Or some such!<g> It would help rid queries like mine!!!

Ok. Try this on for size... if only a PFX is provided then validate
the existence of SignTool.exe. And, well, you figure out the rest!

If the appropriate piece is missing, pop open a message instead of
belching. Seems reasonable, but then it's late and I've been up too
long... it is October, right?!<g>

Option Z - the LAST codesign option you'll ever need - at least for now!
:-D

DELETE SignCode.exe from computer - FORCE yourself to re-edit ALL *.SB
files containing signcode.exe references

AND use the highly regarded - MODERN updated SignTool.exe tool for ALL your
codesigning needs, wants and desires!

Simplify!

JAT - do you really want Friedrich advertising in the futuristic SB8 - "We
support ALL previous codesign methods - all the way back to 1842!"
