Your firewall or anti-virus ;-) Fix this and you are done.

i think - the problem is that the WebUpdateProgramm don´t use my proxy
settings.

Nothing changed in this area for at least 5 years. Try to start wupdate.exe
and define your proxy settings. This should fix it.
If it does not work, download the full install image and let the installer
update your SB system.

The WebUpdate got my information from the proxy server - otherwise I
could not download the first file ;)
Even if things do not change for years. It does not mean that there
still seems to work tomorrow.
We only use a firewall with proxy settings - nothing else.
The problem with the proxy settings but I think mentioned before ....

Yes, that's right. Just wanted to point out that noting changed between 7.6
and 7.7. So this problem is not caused by the new version.

Does it work when you start wupdate.exe and then perform the update?

BTW, you can use the "Check for SetupBuilder 7 Updates" shortcut to let
wupdate.exe check for updates.

Yes, over wupdate.exe work perfect.
Now you can locate the problem in wucheck.exe better.
I hope ;)

In "theory", there should not be a difference between wupdate.exe and
wucheck.exe <g>.
We'll compare the wupdate.sb7 and wucheck.sb7 project source codes to see
what might cause this issue.
Could you please do me a favor? Please run the wucheck.exe from the
command line with the /E3 [folder\]filename command line switch. For
example:
wucheck.exe /E3 c:\test\dirk.txt
and send the resulting dirk.txt to our support [at] lindersoft [dot] com?
This should gives us more information.
Thank you!

I think that you are using an UAC-aware operating system and that's why I
suggested to use:
wucheck.exe /E3 c:\test\dirk.txt
Please note the "c:\test" subfolder. A non-elevated running application
(wecheck.exe) does not have persmission to write to the root of your C:\
drive.

Hmm, works fine here. What's the file date of your wucheck.exe? We
introduced support for /E3 on January 23, 2012.

may be that it is exactly that - I was ordered to uninstall the new
version 7.7 and have the final setup which I had taken from you.

Aha, okay. Then start the command line elevated (right-click the command
line "shortcut") and use "Run as administrator" and then type:
wucheck.exe /E
This will then create a c:\sbevents.txt

We have received the sbevents.txt log file, thank you.
BTW, do you have the proxy "wupdate.ini" configuration file located in your
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Lindersoft\SetupBuilder 7 Developer". And is the
proxy information in that file correct?
Friedrich

I think we have fixed it for the next maintenance build.

FIX : [SB#203231] Installer: The /WCL command line option did not set
the (optional) proxy information file folder.
