Hi all.
I have had a strange random problem in our office when installing our
program onto the office Remote Desktop Server (win2008 R2). One of our
people occasionally is not able to run the program after he installs
it. Upon examining the files, I will find the executable or one or
more of the dll does not have his security at all. If I use
administrative authority and add him in, it will then work fine.
This does happen all of the time but today he reinstalled our three
different products and all three had the problem.
Perhaps this might have something to do with our installing into the
"Documents" folder. Yes I know you should not but because we are
testing and changing things a lot, we do this to prevent someone else
from changing the files and messing the other person up. Other than
perhaps this problem, installing there does not seem to affect
anything else.
The installation program is standard Setup Builder with nothing fancy.
The files are code signed (exe and dll's). Manifest is the standard SB
generated one.
Has anyone else seen this or have any suggestion where to look?
