Hi All

I have a very interesting problem. Using SetupBuilder a new client installs
our software on a workstation. It seems to immediately remove the "Show
windows contents while dragging" function. I am getting the client to
change the relevant registry key and test again. Have any of you had
Clarion compiled binaries changing this registry setting unilaterally? Has
anyone experienced this with Setupbuilder?

Any ideas welcome.

I seriously doubt SetupBuilder is the cause. If your software is
written in Clarion prior to C8 then you need to make sure the option
shown in the attached screen capture is UNchecked. This option does
exactly what you're describing.

You are an absolute star. These binaries are compiled with C6 and I have
just checked - they all have the damn thing checked.

Does this need to be unchecked on the exe only or all dlls called?

Just seen that it is disabled on the dlls as there is no app frame. Sweet.

FYI: SetupBuilder compiled setup.exe files do NOT change the "Show Window
Contents While Dragging" configuration!

I was quite sure about that!!! I was just wondering if anyone else had the
problem so needed to eliminate that as a possibility. Lee has the
solution!!

Thanks for chipping in and confirming so that I did not need to chase my
tail on this.
