Hello Fredrich,
I have been testing DMC under latest W8 and .... I hate what I see when
trace logging all
All events are triggered differently than in W2008 or XP or W7 and this
seems to be "normal"
But the problem is deeper as some (maybe related to my code or to the
CodeJock ActiveX) event trigering another event as I use in code do not
play well together
This being said (I hope my app is the only one to be affected) I would
need to have a bullet proof (only place is here <g>) possibility to get
Windows version
I have access to your latest official SB build 7.7.3769 and when I
search the docs for Windows 8 I find 'nothing'
Would it be possible to have a script of yours and an SB (to come
build) where we could use a function you would add which returned in
"readable" format the Windows version
XP
2000
2003
W7
W8
etc ?
(maybe along with the SP would be even cooler)
Like this I would be able to do a stub SB exe and call it from my app
or use during Install time and store in REG or an INI file to read from
my app
I am sure hundreds of us would alove such a functionality (or am I
wrong <g> ?)
Merci
