File list

Hi Friedrich,

Is there a way to get the file list from a project in other format
than the HTML file? I'm thinking more of an XML file or something
that would be easily parsed into a program.

At the moment this is not possible. But it should be no problem to add
this. I put it on the To-Do list.

Cool:) In a project I'm working on I'd really like to be able to
compare the deployed files to my files to check for differences.
Being able to get the file list and information without parsing the
html would be awsome:)

This makes complete sense :) SetupBuilder 6.6 is code complete so it will
be in one of the next 6.6 maintenance builds.

Awsome:) As far as I can tell, the html file (as of 6.5.1953) has all
the information I can think of, but it might be better to split up
things like the Destination/Source folder into two fields, same with
modified date and time. Same applies to compilation date/time, it
would be simpler to have it in date and time fields. To avoid
confusion I think these should always be formatted in yyyy-mm-dd and
hh:mm:ss in 24 hour format.

I don't remember exactly what we figured out about the location of the
build. It would be nice to be able to query for that somehow. If the
setting for changing it from the command line works now, then it's not
a big deal as I had already got it to work and pass the correct
default as SB6.5 does it if I didn't have a destination, but in 6.5
setting the destination etc. didn't work, but I think you said you had
already fixed it so it should not be an issue:)

Yes, it's fixed in 6.6. You can set the output folder and executable name
from the command line now.

I second the motion on a file list... I would like to see a topspeed file
(as a choice) with some keys... especially on the filename key so I can see
at a glance if I've added the same filename twice (even if it's from a
different folder). .. and another key on the files date would be nice as
well.

And if you decide not to do it in a file like topspeed... even an ascii file
would be nice... at least then I can write a piece of software to read the
file into a topspeed file (or any file format)...
