Hi,

On a "server" (Win-7, Pro, 64 bit) my installations runs and asks for a
reboot.
After rebooting only on user can run the program.
Additional user cannot.
All are accessing the server via RDP..

It turns out that the main exe and a number of dll's (but not all of them)
now have an icon with a lock !

The only solution is to move the loced files away from the installation
folder, rerun the installation and now all is fine.

What is causing this problem ?

Cheers,
/Poul

Hi Poul,

This has nothing to do with your install per-se (it does not "lock" your
files). IMO, it's a typical permission problem.

Your install asks for a reboot because it has to replace locked (in-use)
files. At reboot, Windows replaces the locked file but can't reset the
original permission for your file(s).

If you would like to avoid a reboot, I would suggest to check for in-use
files before you let the installer update your files.

Hope this helps a bit.
