On SetupBuilder's Start Page, there are two options for updates. One is
your standard web update, the other is "Check For Help Updates". How is
that setup? Could you point me in the right direction?
I have an app that I'd like to have similar ability...
Thanks,
Gary Manis

Gary,
"Check for Updates" calls the standard SetupBuilder web update client to
check for program updates.
The "Check for Help Updates" feature makes use of the Windows Winsock core
component to download a small configuration file from our server. This
configuration file includes the CRC32 value of the latest .chm and .pdf
documentation files located on our server. The SetupBuilder IDE calculates
the CRC32 of the existing .chm and/or .pdf on the client machine. If it is
different then the IDE downloads the zipped .chm and/or the .pdf via
Winsock. After that LSZip unzips the file(s) and the client machine has the
latest documentation available. BTW, the very same .chm and .pdf files can
also be download from the web site via a direct link.
Does this help?
