Hi All-
I'm not sure if this is a problem with how I'm using the Auto Update
Scanning Wizard or my understanding of it...
I have several files which are installed in more than one location and when
I run the "Auto Update Scanning Wizard" to setup the patching properly, only
the first instanxce of each file install are found. Is my solution is to fix
them one at a time or am I using this wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Gordon

Gordon,
The "Auto Update Scanning Wizard" can only generate single-version patches.

Hi Friedrich-
Thanks for the response. This is not a multi-version issue, it more allong
the line that the script has:
Install File "N:\Shared\Deploy\AccuFund_306\Bin\afam.dll" to
"%_SB_INSTALLDIR%\Accounting\afam.dll" (Accounting)
Install File "N:\Shared\Deploy\AccuFund_306\Bin\afam.dll" to
"%_SB_INSTALLDIR%\Query\afam.dll" (AccuFundQuery)
and the scan only updates the first occurance.
Thanks again,
Gordon

Hi Gordon,
Aha, okay. If one of these lines was in the script before you started the
Auto Update Scan, then it's the expected behaviour.
Auto Update compares two folders and adds the difference to the script.
Whatever function was in the script before you started Auto Update Scan
stays in the script.
