I have had to change from my previous server to one hosted by one.com,
and is back again with the 5060 error.
Any who is using one.com for this purpose?
I really know too little about what i am up against here.
I am used to use my own servers with ISS, where I can control what i
want.
But, as other powers that be has decided that our servers should
change passwords every 3'th week, its nor really usesable for
WepUpdate in Ideploy way.

Edvard,
Wow, you have to change download passwords every three weeks??? Ho do you
manage this situation? So you send out new passwords on a regular basis to
the customers?
BTW, you can use any HTTP 1.0 compliant server with WebUpdate (iDeploy).
Error 5060 tells you that the file is not accessible (e.g. password
incorrect, download location not available, etc.).

Its theese pasword changes I cannot handle, so I had to shift to
another server.
This one is Apache based, where i am used to ISS
I usually get the 5060 error when the MINE types is not available - i
have to add two *.wud and *.*, and everyting is fine.
But on this server, it seems not to be the case - Or more exact - I
don't have any place to update the MIME types.
OK - Looked in the code.
I can download via FTP without any problems - So, I wonder about a
change to port 21, and userename etc. as i configure FTP won't work as
i expect.
I try it now

What you defined in the "Web Deployment" Visualizer! See attached
screenshot. In our case, the wupdate.exe client downloads the "sb8_dev.ini"
file from the "sb8" sub-folder located at www.lindersoft.com.
On Apache servers, you simply upload "sb8_dev.ini" via FTP to the web
profile. It should look similar to this in your Apache configuration panel:
usr\home\Edvard\public_html\sb8

BTW, do not upload it to your "public_ftp" Apache folder! The "public_ftp"
folder is used for storing files which are available with FTP. You have to
upload to "public_html" (your web server directory).
For example: the "subfolder" directory in ../public_http/subfolder is
accessible over the Internet via the convention:
http://www.example.org/subfolder/

FTP and HTTP are completely different animals. You download from a HTTP
server via the HTTP protocol. You do not download via FTP from a HTTP
server.
BTW, I have never seen an Apache based servers where you had to change the
MIME types in order to download the files. Okay, perhaps one.com has some
kind of custom configuration, I don't know. But IMO, you are trying to
download from a completely wrong location. If you can download via FTP then
it's *NOT* located on your HTTP server.
