View Full Version : Reg Free support?

Friedrich,
Going through the docs, I can't find anything obvious that shows any of
the commands (I'd expect a #compiler command) supports a reg free
manifest by SB.
Does it do this and I missed the obvious or is this planned for later?

Russ,
I think this is part of the application generation process (when the
development tool generates the executable).
The SetupBuilder compiler can only embed an UAC-aware manifest. It can't
create the required clsid and tlbid, etc. for OCX files.

Maybe I did not phrase my question correctly. I can generate the app
manifest. I've got an external dependent assembly manifest for reg
free. Given those two different files, when SB embeds the UAC-aware
manifest that refers to the external reg free manifest, will that enable
the reg free feature?

Hi Russ,
Could you please send me an external dependent assembly manifest for reg
free. I'll play with it a bit.

Hi Friedrich,
I don't know if it will help but the latest version of our wrapper tpls
generate all the required manifest files for the Codejock suite - I can send
you a few of those if needed?

Andy

Gentlemen,
Keep me posted if there are any changes that are required to be made to
the dependentAssembly manifests.
Friedrich: If you need more example dA manifests to test with; let me know.
Thanks db
