Friedrich,

A few months ago you were posting results of an install that propagated
to other workstations. Is this feature in SB yet? I've a major
hospital client that could use this!

The "SBRemote" feature is still under development and we have to wait for
the next Windows 10 build to continue testing. But it seems to work fine,
even on Win10 -- it's too good to be true <g>. Especially the fact that the
SetupBuilder installs run elevated on the other workstations (pushed from a
server) and there is no elevation prompt thrown. It just executes and
installs behind the scenes (and returns the installation results back to the
server).

But we need some more tests in real-life environments so a public beta is
scheduled for March 2015. The SBRemote functionality itself is
code-complete, but not fully integrated into the SetupBuilder ecosystem yet.

Do you have a specific deadline, Russ?

That would be it! They are currently upgrading their servers (including
MSSQL), so if you need a tester..

I think another client would benefit from this, but its not as critical
for them.

What I originally wanted to do was set their connection string there -
they would put in the parameters, I'd just construct the string from
those variables. Right now, its hard coded, so when they change servers
or logins, it requires a programmer - me. If I change this, it means
that every workstation needs to set this up - literally hundreds of
workstations and the manpower required is not worth the effort.

So if I could do this once, from the installer, I think it would save a
lot of man hours, plus changes in logins stay inside their digital fortress.
