Quick SetupBuilder quiz: What is wrong here?

Please have a look at the attached screenshots and let me know what is
wrong. This is a clean Windows 10 installation and I installed the latest
internal SetupBuilder 8.5. I did NOT customize anything after the
SetupBuilder installation. And no, there is nothing wrong with the Burgers
;-)

Okay, here's the deal. We need 40-50 beta testers with Windows 10 and
Windows 8.1 environments to test a brand new SetupBuilder feature. If you
find out what is wrong with the pictures then you are on the beta tester
list <g>

Well, not too bad ;-) But the tile position is correct in Windows 10 <g>.
That's what happens when you "Pin to Start". See attached screenshot --
Notepad pinned to the Win10 Start Screen.

The "magic" in my previous screenshot is that SetupBuilder pinned it!!! But
wait, applications which are installed during deployment can not be
automatically pinned to Start in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. This is
impossible and a significant change in Start Screen behavior from Windows
8.0.

Or in other words, new items are not pinned to the Start Screen any longer,
but your customers have to scroll down to the Apps by Category area and
manually set this to appear on the Start Screen. For quite a few software
companies this is a support nightmare.

Unfortunately, this change in Windows behavior introduced challenges for
enterprises who need to ensure certain applications are automatically pinned
to the user's Start Screen.

I have been researching and working on this brand new SetupBuilder "Pin to
Start on Windows 8.1 and 10" feature for a while.

I tried!

I have tile in my bathroom and kitchen and that's enough for me!<g>

Thankfully 10 reduces them to a manageable number with a real START
menu and not a start page. Well, until they realize that they know
what we need better than we do and revert to 8/8.1 behavior.

First they get rid of the hotkey underscore. Then they get rid of the
menu altogether. Then they drop the start menu for a start page. It is
MS's dedication to obfuscation that has always bewildered me!<g> Now
where did I put that hammer?!

Yes, but in the new Windows 10 "Start menu" you have to scroll down to the

With SetupBuilder 8.5 it will be possible to add the application Shortcut
directly to the right side of the Windows 10 Start menu to the tiles (large
icon) "section".

Thank you :-)

Very complex stuff to try to overcome the "limitation" and you need native
32-bit and 64-bit components to do the impossible. Tested on different
Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 editions under x86 and x64 -- it seems to work
fine. More tests this weekend <g>
