SB 8.5 License Error on Start Up

I have SB 8.5.4714. Running it on a Win7x64. When it "first" starts I get a fatal error # 02409/52 Cannot open system file ... sb8.lic. See attached.

When I OK it, the program runs fine.

No errors starting the program throughout the day.

It may be the next day when it appears again with the same results. No work stoppage just a FYI for now.

Hi Bob,

Unfortunately—and fortunately— <g> this is NOT a bug in SetupBuilder. It just means that, even after three tries, the open file action failed. "Something" locks this file and in 99.999999% of all cases it is the "protection" software. In other words, you have received a buggy virus-definition update from your anti-virus vendor and there is absolutely nothing that we can do. You can add this file to your "exclusion" list to try to work around this bug in your protection software.

Hi Bob,

Or only the sb8.lic file (which is a simple database; a TopSpeed superfile).
