OT: VMware, Incorrect version of vmci.sys

Anyone ever run into this?

None of my VM's will run, guess I shouldn't have updated yesterday.

Found that earlier. Just tried the vmci0.present = "false" change and
it lets that VM load but I hate changes like this - makes me worry!<g>

At least now I can do contract work. I'll download and reinstall
VMware tonight.

This is the version I updated to yesterday: 11.1.2 build-2780323

Matches mine which is the weird part. Everything worked fine yesterday
after the update but nothing wants to run today without changes to the
VMX.

Had to uninstall and reinstall to get it working. Repair and Modify
did not fix the problem.

Did you udate VMWare or a VM (like Win10)?

I don’t know if you can install VMPlayer on the same machine with VM
Workstation, but that might at least get you running.

Happened to me once, this video solved it for me and never had a problem after that.

I had the same problem yesterday. The fix that worked for me is to set
vmci0.present = "false"

If that at sometime doesn't work, I will do a reinstall; if it continues
to work I'll leave it as is.

Weird that such an old problem still exists.
